Blood cancer may begin silently. The symptoms are usually minor initially. Many people brush them off as a sign of weakness or a temporary illness. However, when these changes do not disappear or start appearing more often, you need to address them.

Constant tiredness

This is not the usual tiredness after a long day. Even when at rest, the body is fatigued. Simple work starts feeling heavy. There is a clear drop in energy that does not improve easily.

Frequent infections

Falling sick again and again is not normal. Fever, infections, or slow healing can be indicative of an issue in the way the body is coping with illness.

Bruising or bleeding

Bruises without any obvious harm. Bleeding may require a longer period to be stopped. Some people notice nosebleeds or bleeding from the gums more often.

Lose weight effortlessly

When the body weight begins to decrease without any effort, one must not overlook it. It indicates that there is a change in something in the body.

Swelling in the body

Neck, underarm, or groin painless swelling. The reason why they are usually neglected is that they do not hurt.

Bone or joint pain

Pain without injury may occur. It may seem like a sharp pain that lingers and is not easily removed.

Night sweats

Excessive sweating during sleep, despite the room not being hot, may disrupt sleep. When this continues to occur, it should be addressed.

Low appetite

Decreased eating in the course of days or weeks may also be an indicator. The body will not similarly react to food.

When it is serious to take it

A single sign-in itself might not be much. However, when some of these appear or remain in the long run, it is preferable to have an examination. These symptoms are not always related to blood cancer. They may occur in any other condition. But ignoring them for long is not a good idea. Noticing changes early and acting on them helps in getting the right care at the right time.
